After the expo the West Coast volunteers reported what they did. They said they put at least 1,200 pet preparedness fliers in owners' hands and encouraged people to put a go kit together, whether bought from the neighboring booth or assembled at home.
Volunteers also told visitors about the shelter work after Sandy. They collected over 40 names and emails for a future volunteer training, and raised $148 in donations for raffle baskets that a local pet business had donated.
