Animal disaster training, October 2009
Archive of the former Pet Safe Coalition's website. This site is not that group.
This notice, from the former site in 2009, announced a one-day animal disaster training in October 2009. The exact date was not set yet because the group was waiting for clearance at the training site, the Nassau County Fire Service Academy in Old Bethpage.
It said Noah's Wish, a disaster response organization, would train the next class of first responders. The day was an abbreviated session that covered shelter intake, animal handling safety and current response methods, with Noah's Wish personnel running all of it. New volunteers paid $49, and Noah's Wish insured the participants.
This event is long over. Its sign-up details are not repeated. Noah's Wish's old web address now opens an unrelated site, so it is not linked.
