A $5,000 grant announced, December 2012

The former group said on 11 December 2012 that the Doris Day Animal Foundation had given it an unsolicited grant of $5,000 to help with its response to Sandy.

It said part of the money would buy equipment for the continuing care of pets displaced by the storm, which it described as having devastated Long Island's South Shore.

This is the group's own announcement. We did not find the foundation's side of it.
