Featured pet: Precious, February 2013

Posted on the former site on 15 February 2013.

The group's "Featured Pet" post introduced a cat named Precious, daughter of Nemo, who was also cared for at the Nassau County Emergency Pet Shelter. It described her as sweet and said her father was just as docile.

It asked readers to adopt her and said staff who had cared for her for weeks, and in some cases months, could tell people about her.

We do not know what happened to Precious or Nemo. The adoption contact in the post was a shelter number that no longer applies, and it is not repeated.
