DuPont goes home from the shelter, 2012

On 20 December 2012 the former group posted that DuPont, a pet from Long Beach, had left the Nassau County emergency pet shelter. A volunteer caregiver and a veterinary technician from Massapequa Hospital for Animals gave him a send-off.

The post said many volunteers would remember DuPont for his personality, and that he went back to a loving family. The group called such days the reason the effort was worthwhile.
